Spider extension module connects 4 dry contacts or 1-Wire bus RJ11 sensors to a Poseidon2 4002 via the RS-485 (RJ45) bus. Multiple Spider units can be daisy-chained along the RS-485 bus, making it ideal for complex cabling in server rooms, industrial buildings, and other large-scale environments.
Features:
- Connects 4 dry contacts or RJ11 sensors to RS-485 bus
- 2x RJ45 connectors for daisy-chaining RS-485 bus
- Powered over RS-485 bus from Poseidon or via external 12V adapter (barrel connector)
- DIP switch for setting RS-485 bus address (sensor ID)
- Signalization of sensor reading / dry contact switching
- Supports detection of very short dry contact pulses (30 ms)
Applications and usage:
- Expands the number of dry contact inputs for Poseidon 2250
- Collecting values from 19” racks, with RS-485 bus running along the wall
- Temperature monitoring in supermarket freezers, with RS-485 bus routed behind the units
