SMS-GW3 LTE is a central gateway that enables HWg devices, SensDesk portals, and third-party systems to send text messages (SMS) and make voice call alerts. It supports Ethernet and LTE connectivity, making it suitable for flexible deployments where LAN or mobile networks are required.

The gateway can be used in three main scenarios:

1. Device-to-GW: Several HWg monitoring devices (e.g., LAN Thermometers, Energy Monitoring) can share a single SMS-GW for sending SMS/voice alerts to different phone numbers over the local network using Box-2-Box (Peer-to-Peer) communication.
2. Portal-to-GW: SensDesk portal installations can use the SMS-GW for alerting. The gateway must be accessible from the portal (via VPN or public IP address).
3. 3rd party SW-to-GW: The SMS-GW can be used by third-party software through multiple Open APIs, including HTTP GET, netGSM (SOAP protocol), and SNMP (Write).
