Specialist IT Supply Support
Solving tough IT supply issues for specialist products, hard-to-source equipment, project orders and overseas product sourcing.
Some IT equipment requirements cannot be solved with a standard checkout. Whether you need to source specialist hardware from overseas, organise products for a rollout, quote a multi-site project, or find hard-to-source equipment, Betterbox can help you identify the right route, provide a clear price and supply the products you need.
When standard suppliers are not enough
Betterbox supports customers when the requirement is specific, time-sensitive, fragmented or too awkward for a standard distributor order.
You need to source overseas kit
Overseas supply can involve different shipping terms and import requirements. Betterbox can help source the product and quote clearly.
You need goods for multiple sites
A project order may need to be organised by site, room, cabinet or installation phase so the right products are supplied in a practical way.
You need a project kit
Cables, hardware, accessories, labels, cabinets and monitoring equipment may need to be supplied together as a project-ready kit.
You need hard-to-source goods
A part may be obsolete, specialist, brand-specific, long lead time or awkward to identify. We can help investigate suitable supply options.
You need supplier coordination
Multiple product lines, manufacturers and delivery dates may need pulling into one workable supply plan.
You need practical advice
You may know the outcome you need, but not the exact part numbers, alternatives or supply route.
Please note: Betterbox is an IT infrastructure supplier, not a freight forwarder, customs broker or logistics company. We quote and supply products using agreed delivery terms. Where shipping, customs clearance or specialist logistics support is required, we work with suppliers and delivery partners where appropriate. Unless agreed otherwise, customers remain responsible for customs clearance, import duties, taxes, local charges, licences, permits and destination-country requirements where applicable.
What we do…
Overseas product sourcing & supply
For overseas shipments, we will confirm the proposed shipping terms in our quotation. Unless agreed otherwise, overseas supply is usually quoted on DAP terms, meaning the customer is responsible for customs clearance, import duties, taxes, local charges and any destination-country requirements.
Where known in advance, costs for required export documents, such as a stamped Certificate of Origin, can be included in the quotation.
Project kitting & rollout supply
IT projects often involve more than a single product order. A successful installation may need cables, cabinets, patch leads, PDUs, rack accessories, monitoring equipment, fire suppression units, labels, fixings and hardware to arrive together in a usable format.
Betterbox can help turn a product list or bill of materials into a project-ready supply plan. We can source the required equipment, suggest suitable alternatives where needed, organise items by site or installation stage, and supply project-ready kits that are easier for your team or installer to work with.
This is especially useful for rollouts, comms room upgrades, cabinet refreshes and repeat installation projects where consistency matters. Instead of treating each item as a separate purchase, we help package the supply requirement around the way the project will actually be delivered.
Supplier & manufacturer coordination
Projects can quickly become complicated when equipment is coming from several suppliers, manufacturers or product categories. Different lead times, stock positions, delivery dates and substitution options can create delays long before the installation work begins.
Betterbox can help coordinate the supply side of a project by checking availability, speaking with suppliers, managing special orders, consolidating product requirements and keeping the process moving. Where products are unavailable or lead times are too long, we can help look for practical alternatives.
This is particularly useful when a project involves specialist brands, mixed product lists, imported equipment or items that need to be supplied together. Our role is to reduce the back-and-forth, highlight supply risks early and help turn a messy requirement into a workable plan.
Multi-site supply coordination
For larger projects, ordering the products is only part of the challenge. The real requirement is often making sure each site, cabinet, room or installation phase has the right products specified and supplied in a practical way.
Betterbox can help organise project supply for multiple locations by quoting the required products, identifying suitable alternatives, grouping items by requirement and arranging delivery according to the agreed order details.
Where a project requires goods to be labelled, packed or delivered in a specific way, we can include those requirements in the quotation and work with the appropriate suppliers or delivery partners where needed.
Hard-to-source IT equipment
Not every requirement starts with a neat part number. Sometimes you are trying to replace an old item, match an existing installation, identify an unusual connector, source a niche product, or find an alternative to something that is discontinued, unavailable or on a long lead time.
Betterbox can help investigate awkward IT supply requirements and find a practical route forward. Send us a part number, photo, sample, drawing, specification or description of the problem, and we can look into suitable products, compatible alternatives and available supply options.
This is where our product knowledge and supplier network can save time. Instead of spending hours searching through catalogues or taking a guess on the wrong product, you can ask our team to help narrow down the options.
Advice before you buy
Sometimes the hardest part of IT supply is knowing exactly what to order. You may know the outcome you need, but not the correct cable type, cabinet size, patching system, monitoring device, power accessory, connector, converter or compatible alternative.
Betterbox can help you make a more informed purchasing decision before you commit. Our team can review your requirement, talk through the available options and help you avoid common mistakes such as ordering the wrong length, connector, cabinet accessory, sensor type or incompatible product.
This is not about pushing the most expensive option. It is about helping you get the right equipment for the job, with practical advice from people who understand IT infrastructure supply.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Betterbox source IT equipment from overseas?
Yes. Betterbox can source specialist IT equipment from overseas suppliers where appropriate. We will provide a quoted price and lead time based on the product, availability, shipping route and agreed delivery terms. Betterbox is not a freight forwarder or customs broker, but we can work with suitable suppliers and delivery partners as part of the supply process.
Will you provide a breakdown of import costs, duties and taxes?
In most cases, Betterbox provides a single quoted price and expected lead time rather than a full breakdown of our internal product, shipping and handling costs. For overseas shipments, the quotation will state the relevant delivery terms. Unless agreed otherwise, overseas shipments are usually quoted on DAP terms, meaning the customer is responsible for customs clearance, import duties, taxes, local charges and any destination-country requirements.
Can you help organise equipment for multiple sites?
Yes. Betterbox can help organise project supply by site, room, cabinet, project phase or installation team. Where goods need to be physically split, packed, labelled or delivered to multiple locations, we can coordinate those requirements with suppliers and logistics partners.
Can you create project kits for installers or rollout teams?
Yes. Betterbox can help organise products by site, room, cabinet, project phase or installation team. This can include cables, cabinets, patch leads, rack accessories, monitoring equipment and other IT infrastructure products supplied as part of a project-ready kit.
Can you source products that are not listed on the website?
Yes. If you have a part number, specification, photo or example product, Betterbox can investigate supply options and suggest suitable alternatives where available.
Can you supply products to overseas customers?
Potentially, depending on the product, destination and shipping requirements. Overseas quotations will state the agreed delivery terms. Customers are responsible for checking local import rules, customs clearance requirements, duties, taxes, licences, approvals and any destination-country documentation requirements unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Do I need to check local import requirements before ordering?
Yes. If goods are being shipped internationally, we recommend checking with the relevant authority in the destination country before placing an order. Some countries or product types may require additional approvals, licences, permits, certificates or import documentation. Confirming this in advance helps reduce the risk of customs delays or unexpected destination charges.
Can you provide a Certificate of Origin or export documentation?
Where required and known in advance, we can include the cost of obtaining available export documentation, such as a stamped Certificate of Origin, in the quotation. Please tell us about any documentation requirements before placing your order.
Do you only supply networking products?
Betterbox focuses on IT infrastructure equipment, including cables, cabinets, networking hardware, cable management, remote monitoring, fire suppression and related accessories.
Is supply advice chargeable?
Initial supply advice is complimentary. If you have a product list, part number, photo, specification or project requirement, you can send it to us and we’ll help you understand the available options before you commit to an order.
If your request requires more detailed project work, such as extensive sourcing, technical specification, supply planning or formal documentation, we’ll let you know clearly before any chargeable work begins. You will never be charged for advice without agreeing to it first.
